Motorcyclist killed after crashing into fallen tree in Kedah


ALOR SETAR: A motorcyclist was killed after crashing into a fallen tree at Kampung Bandar Hilir, Sik, on Sunday.

Sik fire station chief Mohd Zulkhairi Mat Tanjil said the department received a distress call from the public around 6pm.

"A team of nine rescuers were dispatched to the scene and upon arrival moved the victim to the side of the road and cleared debris from the fallen tree," he said in a statement on Sunday (Oct 13).

The victim was pronounced dead by medical officers at the scene. His body has since been handed over to the police for further action.
