Women accuse colleague of molestation


KOTA KINABALU: Police are investigating claims by two women who alleged that they were sexually molested by their colleague.

The women and the alleged transgressor work in a federal department in Lahad Datu district.

Tawau police chief Asst Comm Jasmin Hussin said the women had claimed that the incidents took place after they went to an entertainment outlet in Tawau on Sept 7.

He confirmed that the women, aged 21 and 25, lodged their reports on Friday.

“In their reports, they claimed the man who they knew from work had molested them at an entertainment centre and while in the car,” he said when contacted yesterday.

ACP Jasmin said the suspect would be brought in for questioning soon.

“We have opened a probe under Section 354 of the Penal Code for outrage of modesty,” he added.
