Controlled release of water from Chenderoh Dam, says TNB

IPOH: Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) says that the water release from the Chenderoh Dam in Kuala Kangsar is being conducted in a controlled manner.

"The controlled release of water from the Chenderoh Dam is necessary to balance the inflow and outflow of water due to rising levels caused by continuous rainfall in the extensive catchment area.

"TNB is working closely with local authorities and relevant agencies to ensure that the water release process is conducted in a controlled and planned manner according to standard operating procedures for the safety of the public," it said in a statement on Tuesday (Oct 15).

TNB also urged the public not to share inaccurate information.

The public can reach TNB for any inquiries or additional information by sending a private message on the TNB CareLine Facebook page or a direct message on X @Tenaga_Nasional. – Bernama
