ACTRESS Zarina Anjoulie Lavocah, who had a nose job done in Vietnam, said she did not fork out money for the surgery but was in fact paid by the clinic to have it done there, Utusan Malaysia reported.

“I did not pay for the surgery. The clinic paid me RM12,000 as a celebrity to have it done. If there was no payment, I would not have gone to get a nose job there,” she said.

Admitting to having undergone plastic surgery, Anju, as she is nicknamed, said people had commented on her nose.

“People said many things – some said my nose was slanted, or was too round at the tip. After the surgery, people likened my nose to Pinocchio’s.

“Whatever they say, I am happy with my nose. As a woman, I will never be satisfied as I will always want to look prettier.

“If you want to get a nose job, do it with the right doctor who is certified,” she added.

Anju said the procedure did not take long and the stitches only hurt like “ant bites”.

“However, I was not happy with the staff of the clinic, who were a bit rough. This is why I only uploaded the video of the surgery without mentioning the name of the clinic,” said Anju.

> A farmer in Baling lost more than RM60,000 when his 16ha of padi fields were completely deluged by floods in the district, Berita Harian reported.

Mohd Asroh Ahmad, 52, said floods had hit the district six times in the last 16 days, submerging padi stalks he had just planted three months ago under about 0.5m of water.

The farmer said although previous floods had affected his padi fields, this was the first time the crops were completely destroyed, leaving him with no income.

“It flooded five times before this, but this is the worst. I hope government agencies will assist me to relieve my burden as I have no working capital to start planting again,” said Mohd Asroh.
