MetMalaysia warns of thunderstorms, heavy rain in Sabah, Labuan and Sarawak


KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms and heavy rain in a number of states until 3am, Thursday.

MetMalaysia in a statement issued at 10pm on Wednesday (Oct 16) informed that thunderstorms are forecast in Sarawak, affecting Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu (Sibu and Kanowit), Kapit (Song), Miri (Marudi) and Limbang.

Similar conditions are forecast in Labuan and Sabah and the affected areas include the interior areas (Sipitang, Tenom, Nabawan, Keningau and Tambunan) as well as Sandakan (Tongod and Sandakan). - Bernama
