Unemployed man charged with breaking into assemblyman's house in Ayer Tawar


MANJUNG: A 36-year-old unemployed man has been charged at the Magistrate's Court for breaking into the home of a state assemblyman.

Mohd Khairol Anuar Nordin pleaded guilty to the charge under Section 447 of the Penal Code when it was read before Magistrate Fakhrul Razzi Abd Hamid on Wednesday (Oct 16).

Khairol Anuar is accused of breaking into the residence of Pengkalan Baharu assemblyman Azman Noh in Ayer Tawar on Oct 12 at about 10pm.

His sentencing is scheduled at the Pantai Remis Magistrate’s Court on Oct 23.

Prosecuting Officer Inspector Nurjihan Jaya presented the case, while the accused was represented by lawyer Nur Shaqira Ibrahim from the National Legal Aid Foundation.
