AWARD-WINNING travel agency Apple Vacations recently officially launched the Heilongjiang Tourism International Cooperation Promotion Center (Malaysia) in Kuala Lumpur.

An unveiling ceremony was held at the travel agency’s Wisma Apple headquarters which was witnessed by Apple Vacations’ co-founder and group managing director Datuk Seri Koh Yock Heng, Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism director He Jing, market management division director Shen Guangchun and external cooperation department chief Zou Xiangdong.

Also present were Heihe Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism director Liu Fengzhi, Harbin Ice and Snow World Co., Ltd. chairman Guo Hongwei and Heilongjiang Snow Town Tourism Development Co., Ltd. representative Liu Huizhu.

The centre is a key initiative by the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism to broaden its presence in Malaysia and the wider South-East Asian markets.

After its establishment, the centre will host a series of promotional activities in Malaysia to introduce Heilongjiang’s attractions alongside its excellent array of tourism products.

To encourage cooperation between Heilongjiang and Malaysia’s culture and tourism sectors, the centre will regularly provide Malaysian and regional travel agencies with updated travel information on Heilongjiang, in addition to launching promotional campaigns.

This milestone ushers in a new chapter of collaboration between Heilongjiang and Malaysia’s travel industry, and highlights how Apple Vacations’ initiatives to boost connections between the two have opened the door to countless possibilities and opportunities.

Heilongjiang' must-see destinations

Nestled in Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang's Snow Town, also known as Snow Village, is renowned for its extended snow seasons, which produce an abundance of thick snow.

These layers of snow create breathtaking landscapes that evoke a timeless charm, giving the village its name.

As the snow drapes over buildings and structures, it forms enchanting shapes, turning the village into a fairytale wonderland. These magical sights have captivated travellers from around the globe for years.

Another popular destination is Harbin Ice and Snow World, a spectacular theme park known for its impressive ice and snow sculptures.

Opened in 1999 as part of the Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival, the park is now located north of the Songhua River and west of Sun Island.

Alongside the International Sun Island Ice Sculpture Exhibition, Zhaolin Garden Ice Lantern Exhibition, and Shangzhi Park, these attractions have become the crown jewels of Harbin’s tourism.

Drawing millions of visitors each year, Harbin – one of the coldest cities on Earth during winter – relies on the frozen Songhua River to supply the vast amounts of ice needed for its famous festivals.

Apple Vacations is also actively promoting a variety of tours in and around Heilongjiang for travellers eager to immerse themselves in the region's winter magic.

In addition to their popular Magical Dongbei Snow Village and Wonders of Dongbei tour packages, they offer exclusive Chinese New Year chartered flight tours like Harbin Beyond Winter Wonderland and Harbin Encounter Snow Village, ensuring an unforgettable experience of Heilongjiang.
