Several Singaporeans were found to have been making money in Johor Baru by illegally offering car rental services to foreign tourists, reported Kosmo!.

The report stated that these individuals, some of whom are also in syndicates, would offer the use of MPVs at a rate that is 30% cheaper compared to licensed operators.

This resulted in savings of between RM50 and RM200 for a one-way trip.

The report stated that such private illegal transport activities have appeared more rampant, especially after the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to sources, the illegal operators from Singapore would find customers through Facebook, WhatsApp and WeChat.

Besides other foreign tourists, the service is also being used by Singaporeans for day trips to Johor, Melaka and other states, the sources added.

> Harian Metro reported actress and singer Bella Astillah (pic), 30, as saying that she did not expect her post on Instagram to lead to speculation of her reconciling with her ex-husband, Singaporean actor Aliff Aziz.

Bella, whose real name is Dayang Ara Nabellah Awang Astillah, said the post was related to a future concert involving her but in the form of a gimmick.

“Actually, I was afraid to put up such a post. But it was a request by the organiser and with the agreement of my family.

“I had never put up such a post before,” she said, adding that she only wants to focus on her children for now.

“If there’s talk of reconciling, it’s not happening,” the report quoted her as saying during an event on Wednesday.

Bella and Aliff, who married on Sept 9, 2016, were divorced on June 13 this year after Aliff was detained with actress Ruhanies, or Nur Ruhainies Farehah Zainul Ilyas, 32, on suspicion of committing khalwat.
