PETALING JAYA: Consumers buying energy-efficient electrical appliances are set to benefit from a rebate initiative worth RM70mil introduced under Budget 2025 aimed at encouraging the adoption of green technologies.
In his speech at Dewan Rakyat on Friday (Oct 18), Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said industries will also be entitled to the rebates.
"To transition Putrajaya towards becoming a low-carbon city, 5km of covered walkways and carparks there will also be fitted with solar panels to cut power consumption," he said.
