Budget 2025: RM245mil allocation for sports


PETALING JAYA: A total of RM245mil has been allocated to the sports sector in Budget 2025.

RM230mil will go to the podium programme, athletes' training programme, 2028 Olympics Road to Gold, Paralympics and 2025 Tokyo Deaflympics.

The allocation also includes grants to encourage NGOs to organise more sports events.

Meanwhile RM15mil has been set aside for the national football team, Under-18 and Under-13 teams.
