Man bitten by snake drapes it around his neck

A MAN gave the doctors at a hospital a fright when he turned up with a snake that had bitten him draped around his neck, Makkal Osai reported.

Videos on social media showed Prakash Mandal, 48, gripping the head of the snake with his right hand.

He turned up at the emergency department of the hospital in Bhagalpur city, located in India’s Bihar state.

Prakash appeared to be in great pain but he wanted to show the reptile to the doctors so that he could receive the right treatment.

Hospital staff and patients were stunned at the sight of him holding the snake. He did not seem to want to let go of the animal until a brave bystander approached him and coaxed him into going to a separate room.

Prakash eventually let go of the snake and doctors were able to treat him, but the delay in administering treatment had reportedly left him in serious condition.
