Shuttler Qi Xuan shares photos of dislocated knee after fall in Malaysia Super 100


PETALING JAYA: Fresh off her agonising defeat due to a dislocated knee in the semi-finals of the women’s doubles final in the Malaysia Super 100, independent shuttler Ng Qi Xuan took to social media to show the extent of the damage.

The 24-year-old, who came within a point of reaching the final, posted photos of her knee on Instagram on Sunday (Oct 20).

"Hi everyone, this is my knee's condition yesterday. My knee is completely dislocated.

"The doctor has already relocated my knee to the actual position. X-rays are all good, no fracture," she said.

She added that the doctor had told her that it was the first time he had seen a knee dislocated this badly.

Despite her painful situation, Ng remained upbeat.

"Thank you to all friends and fans for your concern.

"Let's hope that I will recover ASAP and be back soon on court," she said.
