King receives nine foreign envoys’ credentials

KUALA LUMPUR: His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, received the credentials of nine foreign envoys to Malaysia at Istana Negara here yesterday.

The envoys are Thepthavone Sengmany of Laos, Niklas Wiberg (Sweden), Anne Vasara (Finland) and Kirstine Vangkilde Berner (Denmark).

Others include Ali Mohamed Abukar (Federal Republic of Somalia), Rafael Daerr (European Union), Jodi Robinson (Canada), Marta Laura Gabrieloni (Argentina) and Jimmy Ovia (Papua New Guinea), reported Bernama.

Sultan Ibrahim also presented instruments of appointment to Malaysian Ambassador to Algeria, Rizany Irwan Muhamad Mazlan, and Malaysian High Commissioner to Canada, Datuk Dr Shazelina Zainul Abidin.

Also present were Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan and Foreign Ministry deputy secretary-general (Bilateral Affairs) Datuk Ahmad Rozian Abd Ghani.
