SUNGAI BULOH: A foreign national's attempt to kidnap a child was stopped when he was caught by passers-by at Kampung Bunga Raya, Kuang here on Tuesday (Oct 22).

Sinar Harian reported that Sungai Buloh OCPD Supt Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor said in a statement on Wednesday (Oct 23) that a 47-year-old local woman reported the incident.

"The complainant reported hearing her neighbour's cries for help around 12.40 pm, claiming someone was trying to take her child.

She went to her neighbour's house and saw the suspect attempting to flee, but he was chased down by the locals and captured near a garbage disposal area," he said in a statement on Wednesday.
