Ma hints at assuming ‘a new identity’, sparking baby rumours

HONG Kong actor Kenneth Ma, who got married nearly a year ago, hinted about assuming “a new identity”, prompting speculation that he is becoming a father soon, Sin Chew Daily reported.

“I’m packing away all my collectibles and will be putting them in storage in preparation for the next chapter of my life,” he said.

“With a new identity comes the need for more space,” he wrote on Instagram of a photo which showed boxes filled with stuffed toys, books and anime figurines.

Many Internet users speculated that Ma, 50, was hinting that a baby was on the way and he needed more space at home for the newborn.

“Is this an official announcement that he will be a father soon?” one fan asked.

Ma and actress Roxanne Tong got married in Koh Samui, Thailand, in December 2023 after dating for three years.

> Chinese actress Fan Bingbing, who was in Kedah for a film shoot, impressed locals with her attempt to learn how to plant padi, Sin Chew Daily reported.

She uploaded a video of herself getting pointers from an “Aunty Aminah”. The training was to prepare Fan, 43, for her role as a widowed farmer in the film Mother Bhumi by Malaysian director Chong Keat Aun.

In the video, Aminah could be heard praising Fan for being a quick learner but let out a gasp when the celebrity lost her balance and fell bottom-first in the mud.
