ALOR SETAR: Police are probing a viral clip showing an altercation involving several persons, including a man believed to be an aide to Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor.
Kota Setar OCPD Asst Comm Siti Nor Salawati Saad said two men lodged reports at 1.25am and 10.58am on Monday over the incident.
She said prior to that, a video clip on TikTok lasting one minute and 20 seconds was shared by many on social media.
“Initial investigations showed that the incident happened at about 11.50pm on Sunday in Alor Setar,” she said in a statement on yesterday, Sinar Harian reported.
ACP Siti Nor Salawati said the clip showed several people in a car having an argument with someone seated in the driver’s seat with several others standing outside.
“Police have opened separate investigation papers under Section 352 and Section 504 of the Penal Code,” she said, adding that the two men have had their statements recorded.
“The public should not speculate on the incident as an investigation is going on. We appeal to witnesses to step forward.”
