Man killed in accident after motorcycle hits buffalo in Negri Sembilan


PETALING JAYA: A 20-year-old man was killed when his motorcycle collided with a buffalo at kilometre five along the Tampin-Kuala Pilah road.

According to Sinar Harian, Tampin OCPD Supt Amiruddien Sariman said the incident occurred around 8pm on Wednesday (Oct 23), with the victim who was on his way to work sustaining fatal head injuries.

“The victim was riding his motorcycle from his home in Kampung Berambai, Johol, to his workplace at a factory in Melaka. A buffalo is believed to have crossed his path, causing him to lose control of the vehicle and collide with the animal,” Supt Amiruddien said in a statement.

“The victim died on the spot, and his body was taken to the forensic unit at Tampin Hospital for a post-mortem to determine the cause of death,” he added.

Supt Amiruddien urged anyone with information about the accident to contact Afiqah Aqwa Haslan at 06-4412502 or the Tampin district police operations room at 06-4431999.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
