MetMalaysia issues thunderstorm warning for most parts of peninsula


PETALING JAYA: Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected over most part of Peninsular Malaysia, says the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).

In a statement on Thursday (Oct 24), it said adverse weather is expected until 7pm in Perlis; Kedah (Langkawi, Kubang Pasu, Padang Terap, Sik, Baling, Kulim and Bandar Baharu); Penang; Perak (Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar and Muallim); Terengganu (Kuala Nerus, Hulu Terengganu, Kuala Terengganu, Marang, Dungun and Kemaman); Pahang (Raub, Kuantan, Bera, Pekan and Rompin); Selangor (Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Gombak, Petaling, Hulu Langat and Sepang); Kuala Lumpur; Putrajaya; Negri Sembilan (Jelebu, Kuala Pilah, Jempol and Tampin) and Johor.
