Woman loses locket to snatch thief dressed like food delivery rider


SERDANG: A woman has lost a locket snatched by a thief dressed like a food delivery rider in Seri Kembangan on Tuesday (Oct 22).

Serdang OCPD Asst Comm A.A. Anbalagan said the crime occurred in front of a fruit shop in Taman Universiti Indah at about 1pm, depriving the 37-year-old of her RM3,000 locket.

"A video of the incident has since gone viral," he said in a statement on Thursday (Oct 24).

He said the victim did not sustain any injury, adding that the crime is being investigated under Section 392 of the Penal Code.

"We are in the midst of identifying the suspect," he said.

He urged those with information to contact the nearest police station.
