Centenarians reminded to claim EPF savings by March

PETALING JAYA: Employees Provident Fund (EPF) members aged 100 years and above have been given until March 31 to claim their savings.

The EPF said the deadline is for those who have not fully withdrawn their retirement savings.

"These members or their beneficiaries must submit a claim for the monies by the March deadline," EPF said in a statement on Friday (Oct 25).

It said details could be checked using their MyKad or EPF membership number.

"After the deadline, the monies will be transferred to the Unclaimed Money Management Division in the Accountant General's Department of Malaysia where claims can be submitted directly.

"Members can visit the EPF official website for further information," the statement added.

Under EPF guidelines, members may continue to make contributions until age 75 and keep their savings in EPF until they reach 100.
