Thunderstorms forecast for west coast including S’gor, KL and Penang


PETALING JAYA: Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected in parts of Peninsular Malaysia until 4pm on Friday (Oct 25).

The Meteorology Malaysia Department (MetMalaysia) issued a warning at 12.50 today of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Perak, Selangor, Negri Sembilan, Melaka and Johor as well as in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.

The areas that are expected to be affected are Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Manjung, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, Bagan Datuk, Hilir Perak and Batang Padang in Perak; Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Klang, Petaling, Kuala Langat and Sepang in Selangor; Seremban, Port Dickson, Kuala Pilah, Rembau and Tampin in Negri Sembilan and Tangkak, Muar, Batu Pahat, Kluang, Mersing, Pontian, Kulai, Kota Tinggi and Johor Baru in Johor.
