MetMalaysia issues thunderstorm warning for most parts of Malaysia


PETALING JAYA: Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected over most parts of Peninsular Malaysia, says the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).

In a statement on Saturday (Oct 26), it said adverse weather is expected until 5pm in Perlis; Kedah; Penang; Perak; Kelantan (Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Kota Bharu, Jeli, Tanah Merah, Machang, Kuala Krai and Gua Musang); Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub and Bentong); Selangor; Kuala Lumpur; Putrajaya; Negri Sembilan; Melaka; Sarawak: Sibu, Kapit (Song and Kapit), Bintulu and Miri (Subis, Miri and Marudi); Sabah: Interior (Kuala Penyu) and West Coast (Papar, Putatan, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu, Tuaran and Kota Belud); Labuan.
