Three more held over abduction

SEPANG: A total of eight suspects have been arrested as police continue their investigation into the kidnapping of a Chinese national.

Acting Sepang OCPD Supt Shan Gopal Krishnan, when contacted yesterday, said police had arrested another two men and a woman.“All are still under remand. We are still looking for the main suspect,” he said.

Previously, Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said the victim was stopped by a car at the Putrajaya toll plaza en route to the KL International Airport on Oct 18.

“Four foreign nationals got out of the car and kidnapped the victim, who was then taken and locked up in the premises.

“A ransom of RM300,000 had been demanded from the victim’s family,” he said.

The victim was found on Oct 19 at Hospital Kuala Lumpur after jumping out of a building to escape.

Following that, Comm Hussein said, police had arrested four foreigners and a local man on Oct 22.
