KANGAR: A man believed to be related to an individual identified as a foreign mercenary in Ukraine has declined to comment on the allegations surrounding his family member.
The 20-year-old man neither confirmed nor denied whether the individual, who went viral on social media for allegedly fighting in Ukraine, is part of his family, reported Sinar Harian on Thursday (Oct 31).

When approached he refrained from discussing the issue, simply stating: "No comment, no comment. I do not want to comment."
The two-story residence appeared quiet, with no visible signs of other family members.
Previously, several photos of Malaysian identity cards and driver’s licenses were found on the battlefield between Ukraine and Russia. These documents were reportedly discovered following the successful capture of a Ukrainian military fortress in Levadne, Zaporizhia, by Russian forces.

The man in question is said to be associated with the 16th Rifle Battalion of Ukraine, where he is reportedly engaged in combat against the Russian army. Among the documents discovered is one showing a registered address in Padang Besar, Perlis.
Additionally, a photo of a passport from another country believed to belong to another individual at the location, has also gone viral.
Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain announced that the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) is investigating the validity of information regarding the alleged discovery of Malaysian identity cards and driving licenses believed to belong to Malaysian citizens in Levadne, Zaporizhia, Ukraine.
He stated that the police are verifying the allegations by obtaining detailed information from the Foreign Affairs Ministery.
The Ministry, in a statement, indicated that it could not confirm the validity of this information at this time and advised Malaysians to take precautionary measures to ensure their personal safety while abroad.
