Firefighters rescue boy from locked car in Sandakan


KOTA KINABALU: Firefighters were called to help retrieve a two-year-old boy locked inside a car in Sandakan on Thursday (Oct 31).

Authorities were alerted by a call received at 2.29pm regarding the incident at Lorong Sri Taman 4 in the district.

A team of eight from the Sandakan fire station used special tools to open the door of the locked SUV and safely retrieved the boy.

"After ensuring there were no more risks, the operation concluded at 2.46pm," said a spokesman from the Fire and Rescue Department.
