China says Anwar to visit next week


BEIJING, China (AFP): Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will make a working visit to China next week.

The visit will take place from Nov 4 to 7, Beijing's foreign ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said at a press briefing on Friday (Nov 1).

Anwar was elected in 2022 and has visited China twice since, describing the country as "a great friend" as he sought to deepen ties with Malaysia's top trading partner. – AFP
