Sunsuria celebrates the grand opening of its Concord College International School
SUNSURIA Bhd has officially unveiled Concord College International School Malaysia (Concord) in Sunsuria City, Sepang, Selangor with a grand opening ceremony held at the school’s sports hall.
Established following a strategic partnership between Sunsuria Education Sdn Bhd (SESB) and Concord College International Limited (CCIL), Concord is reported to be the first international school in Asean to model after Concord College in the United Kingdom (UK) – an independent international day and boarding school in Shropshire, England.
Concord College UK was recently listed as one of the Top 10 private schools in the UK by Ivy Education.
Guided by the school’s ethos of “rigour, kindness, and creativity”, Concord aims to offer an international education that is both academically challenging and holistic, nurturing a culture of excellence and fostering a joyful learning journey for students aged five to 18.
It follows the English National Curriculum from primary school (Years One to Six), secondary school (Years Seven to 10), and Sixth Form (A-Levels).
The school offers both day and boarding options, catering to students from Malaysia and across Asia.
During the launch, Sunsuria’s executive chairman and Concord board of governors chairman Tan Sri Ter Leong Yap said that the grand opening of the international school marks a significant milestone for Sunsuria.
“It is our flagship international school in Sunsuria City, which further strengthens the township’s position as an education hub.
“This is a stepping stone in establishing Sunsuria as a key player in education, both in Malaysia and internationally.”
