Kluang police hunting for alleged arsonists who left note on house gate


KLUANG: Police are currently hunting for the arsonists behind a house fire on Jalan 14/1, Taman Delima, here.

Kluang OCPD Asst Comm Bahrin Mohd Noh said that the police were notified about the incident at 4.15am on Thursday (Oct 31).

"Investigations found a note with a threat stuck to the gate of the burnt house. The house had been uninhabited for a week," he said in a statement here on Friday (Nov 1).

ACP Bahrin said that the case is being investigated under Section 436 of the Penal Code for mischief by fire or explosive substance with intent to destroy property.

It is also investigated for criminal intimidation under Section 506 of the Penal Code.
