Cops investigating video of man allegedly insulting Islam


KUALA LUMPUR: Police are looking into a video of a man who allegedly insulted Islam that was uploaded on social media.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa said police detected the video on Monday (Nov 4).

"The video showed a man in a car speaking negatively about Islam.

"Police have identified the suspect and will take his statement later as he is still seeking treatment for his mental health at a hospital," he said in a statement on Monday.

He added that the police viewed the matter seriously and advised the people not to share the video.
