Two senior citizens killed after car rams into divider near Sungai Besi toll plaza


KUALA LUMPUR: Two senior citizens were killed after their vehicle rammed into a road divider near the Sungai Besi toll plaza.

Selangor Fire and Rescue department assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said the distress call was made at 3.42am on Tuesday (Nov 5).

"Seven firemen were dispatched to the scene.

"Two men, both aged 65 years old, were trapped in the driver and front passenger seats," he said in a statement on Tuesday.

Firemen at the scene managed to pull both victims out of the wreckage, he said.

"However both of them died from their injuries as verified by medical personnel.

"The bodies have been handed over to the police for further action," he said.
