PETALING JAYA: Bukit Aman has refuted allegations of inaction in their investigation into a case involving the falsification of documents.
Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) director Comm Datuk Seri Ramli Mohamed Yoosuf said in a statement on Thursday (Nov 7) that the department had been informed of the claim made in a TikTok video by an account named "abuismailabuyaziz."
The video asserted that the IPD Kota Setar CCID chief "had refused to open an investigation over a fake judgement."
"The account holder claimed that the police did not conduct investigations in a forgery case despite a police report," he said.
Comm Ramli said that the case itself, which was linked to a police report in Kuala Kedah on Nov 1 2021, had been opened on the same day following the report.
"The document was investigated, and a sample of the complainant's signature was sent to the Chemistry Department for analysis. However, the department confirmed that no match could be made as the sample given was insufficient and that the complainant had refused to send additional samples," he said.
The case was then referred to the deputy public prosecutor's office.
"On April 20 2022, the case was deemed NFA (no further action).
"Regarding the newest police report on Sept 15 2024, regarding the existence of a fake court order, the police have conducted checks and received confirmation from the court that the order in question was indeed legitimate.
"This shows that the allegations of a false judgement as stated by the account holder on TikTok were untrue and malicious," he said.
He added that investigations had been conducted according to the law and that it was inappropriate for the video creator to label those investigating the matter as "cruel and evil," as the video stated.
Checks showed that the account holder had deleted his account on TikTok.
