Firefighters brave rush hour traffic to rescue kitten trapped under flyover


KOTA KINABALU: Firefighters battled heavy traffic during rush hour to rescue a kitten trapped at a flyover pillar on Thursday.

The Fire and Rescue Department reported receiving a call at 4.01pm, prompting a team from the Penampang fire station to head to the Bukit Padang Flyover.

"Upon arrival, the team spotted the kitten in the mid-section of the flyover pillar," said a department spokesman.

Using a ladder, the firefighters successfully reached the stranded kitten and brought it to safety.
