Negri Sembilan on track to exceed 2024 revenue target, says MB Aminuddin


SEREMBAN: Negri Sembilan expects to generate higher revenue this year compared to the targeted sum of RM520mil, says Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun.

The Mentri Besar said with just over a month left to year-end, the state had already achieved 95% of the target set when the state budget was tabled in December last year.

"At today's exco meeting, we were told that we have received some 95% of the targeted sum.

"We are confident that the amount will exceed expectations as we have more than a month to go before the year ends," he told reporters after chairing the state exco meeting at Wisma Negri.

When tabling the state budget for 2024, Aminuddin had said the state was expecting to collect some RM520mil in revenue for this year.

This was an increase of RM70mil from the RM450mil received in 2023.

He had also said that the state budget for 2024 was a deficit one as RM555mil had been set aside for development, operational and related expenditures.

On a separate matter, Aminuddin said the state-level Deepavali open house would be held at Kompleks Arena in Tampin on Nov 23.

He said the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz is expected to grace the event which will start at 3.30pm.
