Visitors can also look forward to new and exciting ranges of petrol-powered, hybrid or all-electric models, and get a chance to test drive certain models or receive gifts and discounts.

Among the visitors yesterday was 60-year-old production manager Abdul Latif Ong, who was looking at the Proton X70 and X90.

“For me, an SUV is higher and better, especially during the rainy season. I am considering buying another car,” said Abdul Latif.

Another visitor was banker Adeline Wong, 40, who was taking a closer look at the all-electric Leapmotor C10.

“I am interested in getting an all-electric SUV for my family. Prices are getting more accessible,” she said.

The StarCarSifu Auto Show 2024, which ends on Sunday, is organised by Star Media Group Bhd.

At the show, Proton is showcasing its hot-selling S70, X70 and X90 models.

The national car maker’s year-end Proton Vaganza campaign is also running until Dec 31, where customers who test drive Proton models and join the campaign will stand a chance to win cash prizes of up to RM2,500.

Those who place a booking and register a new Proton car during the period will automatically enter a monthly lucky draw and stand a chance to win the grand prize of a brand-new S70 sedan.

Nissan brought its latest generation intelligent e-Power hybrid system, which delivers high levels of fuel economy with the driving smoothness of an EV.

The fuel-sipping e-Power hybrid system is used in the second-generation Nissan Note hatchback, as well as other models in Nissan’s lineup.

With the government’s plan to roll back RON95 petrol subsidies next year, Nissan’s impressive fuel-sipping e-Power technology would be much welcomed by motorists.

Visitors can also view Chery’s range of popular and well-specified SUVs, namely the Omoda 5, Tiggo 7 Pro and Tiggo 8 Pro.

All its SUVs are equipped with the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), ensuring a superior and safe driving experience while combining cutting-edge technology with robust performance.

Visitors can also drop by Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors’ (HSDM) display and take advantage of the Hyundai year-end deals, where new Hyundai buyers can save up to RM25,000 and stand a chance to win a 4D3N luxury trip for two to Korea.

The trip includes business class flights and a guided tour of the Hyundai Motorstudio in Goyang.

The year-end promotion also allows buyers to enjoy savings on new and unregistered cars at revised prices.

In addition, HSDM offers the Hyundai Promise Approved Used Car Programme (Hyundai Promise) as a reliable way to buy pre-owned Hyundai vehicles.

Meanwhile, Toyota dealer PCM Group is displaying the Lexus RX 350 and Toyota Yaris G and offering test drives for the Lexus LBX, Toyota Vios and Yaris.

The fully-imported RX 350 Luxury variant is equipped with a 2.4-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine, while the Yaris has been improved with a sporty new front and rear skirting and a larger 9-inch touchscreen display.

Stellantis dealer Allure Auto is showcasing the recently launched all-electric Leapmotor C10 and also providing test drives for the C10 and the Peugeot 408.
