KUALA LUMPUR: A series of activities, including a career carnival, helmet exchange programme, summons reduction counter, Madani sales, and health checks, are set to take place in the Two Years of Madani Government (2TM) programme.
The three-day event will kick off on Nov 22 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
Nurul Hidayah Abdul Ghani, the senior assistant director of the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) Performance Acceleration and Coordination Unit (Pacu), announced that 20 employers will participate in the career carnival, offering 1,500 job opportunities.
Additionally, 100 entrepreneurs will be involved in the Madani sales, providing goods at reasonable prices.
"On Saturday and Sunday (Nov 22-23), the National Convention on Civil Service Reform 2024 will convene, featuring presentations on the civil service reform agenda, the announcement of the Kuala Lumpur Declaration of Joint Commitment of Malaysia’s Public Service, and the launch of circulars on bureaucratic red tape reform and regulatory trials," she noted.
Speaking on National.FM radio, Nurul Hidayah explained that the programme, themed "Madani Di Hati, Rakyat Disantuni", aims to publicise the current achievements of the Madani government and promote the civil service reform agenda.
It will include engagement sessions with ministries, departments, and agencies, showcasing achievements by segments such as economy, social, security, education, and infrastructure.
"The event provides the community with opportunities to interact and offer input, views, and feedback to the government, enhancing service delivery.
"Visitors will also gain insights into the policies and initiatives undertaken for public welfare," she added.
Preparations are actively underway for the 2TM programme, which expects to attract over 230,000 visitors. Organised by the PMO through Pacu, in collaboration with the Malaysian Productivity Corporation (MPC) and the Madani Monitoring Unit, the programme is scheduled to be officially launched by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at 11am on November 23. – Bernama
