Selangor Budget 2025 to focus on AI and northern growth, says MB

SHAH ALAM: Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari will be tabling the state’s 2025 Budget on Friday (Nov 15).

Amirudin had announced at a Selangor Budget 2025 dialogue session in Sept that the budget will prioritise sectors linked to artificial intelligence (AI) technology while initiating efforts to protect the people's welfare.

The mentri besar also highlighted that the budget aims to foster growth in the northern part of Selangor.

He stated that while other areas of Selangor have previously been the focus, it is now time to promote development in the North, particularly in regions like Sabak Bernam.

Both Pakatan Harapan and Barisan Nasional had lost several state assembly and parliamentary seats to Perikatan Nasional in northern Selangor in the last general election.

The Sabak Bernam and Kuala Selangor districts are located in northern Selangor.
