BANDAR SUNWAY: The second day of the StarCarSifu Auto Show 2024 at Sunway Pyramid attracted visitors who wanted to get up close with the latest models from Proton, Nissan, Chery, Hyundai, Leapmotor, Lexus and Toyota.
Admission is free, and visitors at the show, located at the LG2 Blue and Orange concourse of the shopping mall, can also take advantage of the latest offers, promotions and rebates.
You can look forward to the latest and exciting range of petrol-powered, hybrid or all-electric models, and also get a chance to test-drive certain models or receive gifts and discounts.
Yesterday, among the visitors was 34-year-old auditor Nazeerah Ghazali, who was checking out the Proton X70 and X90.
“I want a large seven-seater car for my family. Currently, I am driving a sedan and I feel that my family needs a bigger people carrier as a second car,” she said.
Another visitor was 34-year-old freelance photographer Toh Lew Shen, who is interested in the Nissan Serena J Impul.
“I am looking for a comfortable seven- or eight-seater MPV for my large family. I prefer conventional ICE (internal combustion engine) cars as we travel outstation occasionally. With EVs, you have to do some planning regarding the driving range, time spent on charging the EV and location of charging points,” said Toh.
Meanwhile, business manager Kenneth Leong, 57, who owns a petrol-powered German SUV, was taking a closer look at the all-electric Leapmotor C10.
“I am interested in EVs, especially with the current issues of environmental sustainability and impending petrol subsidy cuts,” he said.
The StarCarSifu Auto Show 2024, which ends Sunday, is organised by Star Media Group Bhd.
Proton is showcasing its hot-selling S70, X70 and X90 models.
The national car maker’s year-end Proton Vaganza campaign is also running from Oct 1 to Dec 31, where customers who test-drive Proton models and join the campaign will stand a chance to win cash prizes of up to RM2,500.
Those who put down a booking and register a new Proton vehicle that month will automatically enter a monthly lucky draw and stand a chance to win the grand prize of a brand new S70 sedan.
Nissan brought its latest generation intelligent e-Power hybrid system which delivers high levels of fuel economy with the driving smoothness of an EV.
The fuel-sipping e-Power hybrid system is used in the second-generation Nissan Note hatchback, as well as other models in Nissan’s line-up.
With the government’s plan to roll back RON95 petrol subsidies in the near future, Nissan’s impressive fuel-sipping e-Power technology would be much welcomed by Malaysian motorists.
Visitors can also view Chery’s range of popular and well-specified sport utility vehicles – the Omoda 5, Tiggo 7 Pro and Tiggo 8 Pro.
All of its SUVs come with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, which combine cutting-edge technology with robust performance to ensure a superior and safe driving experience.
Exciting on-site exclusive promotions are available for Chery car buyers during the event.
Drop by Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors’ (HSDM) display and take advantage of the Hyundai Year End Deals, where new Hyundai buyers can save up to RM25,000 and stand a chance to win a 4D3N luxury trip for two to South Korea.
