28 foreigners nabbed for illegal entry


KOTA BARU: A group of foreigners have been hauled up by the Kelantan Immigration Department for entering the country without proper documents.

Kelantan Immigration Department deputy director (Management) Nik Akhtarulhaq Nik Abdul Rahman said the 28 men arrested comprised 18 Indonesians, seven Bangladeshis and three Myanmar nationals aged between 19 and 50.

They were arrested in a two-day enforcement operation in Gua Musang which ended on Thursday, Bernama reported.

“The operation, which began at 2pm on Wednesday, was carried out at several premises. All are detained at the Tanah Merah Immigration Depot,” he said.
