PETALING JAYA: Today is the final day of the StarCarSifu Auto Show 2024 at Sunway Pyramid, where car buyers and enthusiasts can explore exciting deals on the latest models from Proton, Nissan, Chery, Hyundai, Leapmotor, Lexus and Toyota.
Admission is free and visitors to the show, located at LG2 Blue and Orange concourse at the shopping mall, can also take advantage of the latest offers, promotions and rebates.
Potential buyers can look forward to the latest range of petrol-powered, hybrid or all-electric models, test drive certain models and stand a chance to receive gifts and discounts.
Among the visitors was 34-year-old pilot Bryan Sario, who took a keen interest in the Hyundai Santa Fe SUV (sport utility vehicle) and the all-electric Ioniq 5 CUV (crossover utility vehicle).
“I have another baby on the way and will need a bigger car. I am interested in buying another hybrid car as I have been driving one since 2018 and it’s really fuel efficient – gets me 1,000km on one tank,” said Sario, who owns a 1.6 litre Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid.
He added that having an auto show like StarCarSifu Auto Show 2024 in a popular shopping mall is convenient for the public in terms of location, convenience as well as shopping and food options.
Another visitor was 49-year-old project manager Don Bosco, who was checking out the all-electric Leapmotor C10.
“I am looking for an SUV for a friend. I prefer sedans as I feel they are better for driving on city roads. I am also interested in BEVs (battery electric vehicles) like the Leapmotor C10. I think it looks sturdy and roomy with attractive features, and you can charge BEVs at home,” said Bosco.
Meanwhile, 51-year-old engineer Andy Ng was interested in the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro.
“I am looking for an SUV as I think they work better on flood-prone roads. I think the Tiggo 7 Pro offers good value for money and nice features,” said Ng.
The StarCarSifu Auto Show 2024 is organised by Star Media Group Bhd.
Proton is showcasing its hot- selling S70, X70 and X90 models at the event.
The national car maker’s year-end Proton Vaganza campaign is also running from Oct 1 to Dec 31, where customers who test drive Proton models and join the campaign stand a chance to win cash prizes of up to RM2,500.
Those who place a booking and register a new Proton vehicle during this period will automatically enter a monthly lucky draw and stand a chance to win the grand prize of a brand-new S70 sedan.
Nissan brought its latest generation intelligent e-Power hybrid system, which delivers high levels of fuel economy with the driving smoothness of an EV.
The fuel-sipping e-Power hybrid system is used in the second-generation Nissan Note hatchback, as well as other models in Nissan’s line-up.
With the government’s plan to roll back RON95 petrol subsidies in the near future, Nissan’s impressive fuel-sipping e-Power technology would be much welcomed by Malaysian motorists.
Visitors can also view Chery’s range of popular and well-specified sports utility vehicles – the Omoda 5, Tiggo 7 Pro and Tiggo 8 Pro.
All its SUVs are equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, ensuring a superior and safe driving experience while combining cutting-edge technology with robust performance.
Exciting on-site exclusive promotions are available for Chery car buyers during the event.
Drop by Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors’ (HSDM) display and take advantage of the Hyundai Year End Deals, where new Hyundai buyers can save up to RM25,000 and stand a chance to win a 4D3N luxury trip for two to South Korea.
