Man dies of heart attack after crashing vehicle in Johor Baru


JOHOR BARU: A 51-year-old man died from a heart attack after crashing his vehicle at KM8 of the Iskandar Sultan Highway, here.

Johor Baru North OCPD Asst Comm Balveer Singh said the accident occurred on Sunday (Nov 17) at 3.50am when the victim was heading towards Iskandar Puteri.

“The incident involved a car driven by a 51-year-old local man, accompanied by his 48-year-old wife.

“The accident is believed to have happened when the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to crash into a road divider and veer into a drain on the left side.

“The wife escaped unhurt, but the driver was suspected to have suffered a heart attack and was pronounced dead at the scene,” he said in a statement here.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
