Farid Kamil, Diana Danielle divorce case to be mentioned again on Dec 2

PETALING JAYA: The Syariah Lower Court of the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur confirmed the reconciliation made by actor Farid Kamil regarding his wife, Diana Danielle, on Aug 31 of last year.

Diana's lawyer, Datuk Akberdin Abdul Kader, stated that Judge Syarie Abdul Fattah Kamarudin affirmed the reconciliation after reviewing the actress's application.

"The court has heard the reconciliation application and issued an order that both of them are recognised as husband and wife from the date of the referral," Akberdin told mStar.

He said this after attending the reconciliation confirmation proceedings at the Federal Territories Syariah Lower Court in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday morning (Nov 20).

Additionally, Akberdin informed the court that he instructed Farid and Diana to obtain a reconciliation certificate from the Islamic Religious Department of the Federal Territory (Jawi).

Once they acquire the certificate, the couple can proceed with their divorce case, which is scheduled for Dec 2.

"The court has instructed them to obtain the reconciliation certificate and present it for the second application, which is the divorce application. The first application (for the reconciliation) has been completed so that we will return to court on Dec 2 for the divorce hearing," he explained.

On Oct 28, Diana surprised many by announcing her intention to file for divorce after a year of rekindling their relationship.

While Diana filed for divorce, Farid expressed that their household was in good condition and that they only experienced minor misunderstandings, maintaining regular communication.

Diana, however, refuted this, insisting that she had notified Farid about moving out via WhatsApp.

For context, Farid and Diana were previously divorced on Aug 10 of last year but chose to reconcile after just 21 days apart.

The couple married on Nov 3, 2012, and they have two daughters: Muhammad, 11, and Nur Aurora, who is now 9 years old.
