Seven suspects nabbed over fatal stabbing in Kuala Langat

PETALING JAYA: Seven foreign men have been arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing of another foreign man in Telok Panglima Garang, Kuala Langat.

Acting Kuala Langat district police chief DSP Mohd Sufian Amin said the suspects, aged from 30 to 49, have been remanded for six days until Nov 25 for investigations under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

He said that police first became aware of the crime after a local woman reported the victim lying on the ground at 7.20pm on Tuesday before his death was later confirmed by medical staff from Banting Hospital.

"CCTV footage of the incident shows a man struggling with the victim before fleeing the scene. The suspect was seen brandishing a knife," Sinar Harian reported him as saying.

He said Banting Hospital first responders found that the victim had died at the scene from a stab wound on his left chest.

"Investigations are still ongoing to determine the cause of the incident and the suspects' involvement," he said in a statement on Wednesday (Nov 20).

Mohd Sufian also urged those with information on the case to contact the Kuala Langat police headquarters' operations room at 03-3187 2222 or report to the nearest police station.
