A MAN claimed that he was “disturbed” by a supernatural entity at a rest and service area in southern Selangor.
Syazwan Zanini posted on X that he was alone in a surau when the encounter happened right after he concluded his night prayers, Kosmo! reported.
“I had stopped here for Isyak prayers alone. After praying, I said salam and then I heard someone else responding to my salam.
“I turned around but no one was there. Thankfully, they didn’t turn off the lights. Now I’m in the car and can’t drive,” he said in his post, adding that the place is famous for similarly eerie tales.
Syazwan’s post received various responses, including from some users who said such spooky encounters were “common”.
> Kosmo! also reported that two premises in Kota Baru, Kelantan, were destroyed in a fire after a liquefied petroleum gas tank used for boiling water at a food stall allegedly leaked.
Salon owner Tan Fei Lie, 32, whose shop was destroyed in the fire, said she was in the premises with her husband and five-year-old twin daughters, getting ready for bed. She said she heard a knock on the shop door at around 9.15pm and was startled to see a fire raging from a food stall next to her premises.
“The fire was already starting to spread to my salon. Without thinking twice, my husband and I immediately carried our children out of the premises.
“I managed to drive us far away from the scene. Luckily, the fire brigade arrived quickly and the fire did not spread to my husband’s two other premises, a self-service laundry and car accessory shop, which are located near my shop,” Tan said.
