KUALA SELANGOR: A phone call turned out to be a woman’s last conversation with her son, who was involved in a fatal accident near Putrajaya which also killed three others.
The incident took place after the car they were in lost control and crashed near a shopping mall, reported Sinar Harian.
The victim's brother, Mohd Sufri Mohd Nuzi, 35, said their mother, Wan Nor Fiza Muhammad Kamarudin, 56, shared that her son, Muhammad Danial, 24, had called her around 8pm before the accident.
"My mother is heartbroken because she can’t believe that was the last time she would hear my brother's voice.
"She mentioned that Muhammad Danial had sent her some money for expenses but she never thought it would be his last gesture," he said when met at their family home in Taman Pancaran, Bestari Jaya, on Thursday (Nov 21).
According to Mohd Sufri, Danial was the eighth of ten siblings and lived in Ijok, while their mother resided in Pontian, Johor.
He added that their parents, Mohd Nuzi Tamli, 57, and Wan Nor Fiza, separated about ten years ago.
Mohd Sufri shared that their father learned about the tragic accident, which claimed Danial's life, while at work in Petaling Jaya.
"We only found out about the incident later, at around noon on Thursday (Nov 21), after one of Danial's friends contacted my younger sister," he said.
He said the last time he saw Muhammad Danial was during a family gathering at their father’s house in Bestari Jaya last Saturday (Nov 16).
"He seemed cheerful and smiled a lot, and that is the memory of him that we will always cherish," he said.
Earlier, four individuals, including two women, were confirmed dead after the car they were in lost control and crashed into a guardrail near a shopping mall in Putrajaya on Thursday.
Sepang OCPD Asst Comm Norhizam Bahaman, said the Sepang District Police Headquarters' Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division was informed of the accident, which occurred at around 1am.
The accident resulted in the deaths of the driver and three passengers, aged 24 to 41.
