Perak 2025 people-friendly budget focusing on Perakians’ welfare to be tabled on Nov 29

IPOH: The Perak 2025 people-friendly budget will be tabled on Nov 29, says state Speaker Datuk Mohammad Zahir Abdul Khalid.

He said the state assembly sitting would be for five days from Nov 29 to Dec 5.

Mohammad Zahir said Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad will table the budget.

“I believe the budget will be in-line, as well as to fulfill the aspirations of the Perak Sejahtera 2030 plan.

“The state’s budget will be complimentary to the federal budget, and I believe there will be various benefits that the people will be able to enjoy,” he told a press conference at the state secretariat building here on Thursday (Nov 21).

Muhammad Zahir said the state government is concerned with current situations and would give necessary attention to the well-being of Perakians.

“The Mentri Besar as well as the state executive councillors have been working hard to get foreign investments into the state.

“We have seen results, and I believe this will indeed translate into benefits for the people and the state during the budget presentation,” he added.

Mohammad Zahir added that he also received two motions, one on the Supply Enactment to be brought by the Mentri Besar, and the other on the appointment of a Senator.

He said so far two applications for the senatorship post have been received before the closing date on Friday (Nov 22).

“All assemblymen will be given the chance to debate on the Supply Enactment,” he added.

Muhammad Zahir also said on Nov 29, Saarani would launch the Perak State Assembly portal, introduced for the very first time.

He said people would be able to access several uploaded enactments since 1948.

“This portal will serve as a very resourceful site,” he added.
