Thunderstorm warning extended to more states until 9pm on Nov 21


PETALING JAYA: The Meteorological Department has extended its thunderstorm warning to more states until 9pm.

In an advisory issued at 5pm on Thursday (Nov 21), it warned that thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are now expected over 12 states, including Penang, Selangor and Kuala Lumpur.

Rains have been forecast for the entire state of Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Perak, Selangor, Negri Sembilan, Melaka, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.

Other areas are Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Bentong and Temerloh), and Johor (Tangkak, Muar, Batu Pahat, Kluang, Pontian, Kulai and Johor Baru).

Also affected are Sarawak - Kuching, Samarahan (Samarahan and Asajaya), Betong (Saratok and Kabong), Sarikei and Mukah (Tanjung Manis and Daro) -, Sabah - Interior, West Coast (Papar, Putatan, Penampang and Ranau) and Tawau (Tawau and Kunak) -, and Labuan.

The advisory is until 9pm.
