Elderly siblings found dead in Kulai home


KULAI: A pair of elderly siblings have been found dead in their house at Jalan Selendang 5 here.

It was learnt that the bodies of the siblings were discovered after one of their neighbours noticed a strong stench coming from their house and reported it to the police.

When contacted, Kulai OCPD Supt Tan Seng Lee confirmed that they had received a report about the two senior citizens, who are 67 and 65.

"Yes, we have received a report on this, and the case is still under investigation.

"Preliminary investigation shows that there are no criminal elements involved, and the case has been classified as ‘sudden death’ for now," he said on Friday (Nov 22).

According to a Chinese daily, neighbours have not seen the siblings for the past few days.

As of press time, it was learnt that the bodies of the siblings were still at the scene and would be sent for a postmortem examination soon.
