Silambam contest elevates Tamil school

SJK(T) JALAN Tajul from Kota Tinggi emerged the overall champion of an inaugural silambam competition for Tamil schools in Johor, Malaysia Nanban reported.The event, organised by the State Silambam Korvai Kazhagam in Iskandar Puteri, saw the participation of 220 students from 15 Tamil schools in the state.

SJK(T) Jalan Tajul won three gold and three silver medals, as well as one bronze medal, to take home the overall trophy.

SJK(T) Ladang Tebrau and SJK(T) Masai placed second and third overall respectively.Segamat MP Yuneswaran Ramaraj, who attended as a special guest, handed over RM25,000 to the Kazhagam to support its activities.
