11 individuals relocated to flood relief centre in Segamat


SEGAMAT: A total of 11 people from four families were evacuated to a temporary relief centre (PPS) after their homes were flooded, here.

The State Disaster Management Committee reported that the victims, from Kampung Seberang Batu Badak, were relocated to the PPS at Balairaya Batu Badak at 2pm on Saturday (23 Nov).

“As of 4pm, only one PPS is currently in operation,” the committee said in a statement.

The statement also shared that three rivers have reached warning levels; Sungai Muar near Buloh Kasap in Segamat, Sungai Tangkak near Kampung Seri Ma’amor, and Sungai Kesang near Telok Rimba in Tangkak.
