PETALING JAYA: A 6m-deep sinkhole has been detected at Jalan Lojing-Gua Musang near Kampung Jek Jok, the Works Ministry reports.

In a Facebook post, the Ministry said it was alerted to the sinkhole at 9.30am on Saturday (Nov 23) and has been cordoned off and warning signs and other temporary safety measures put in place.

"The route is still open to all vehicles but motorists are advised to drive cautiously when passing through the area," the Ministry said in its post.

It also said that the Gua Musang Public Works Department and Roadcare (M) Sdn Bhd are currently carrying out repair work at the site, including the replacement of a 1.2m reinforced concrete pipe.

The Works Ministry also said that it would provide updates on the situation from time to time.
